What is a BiPAP?

A BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) is a type of breathing machine that helps people with breathing problems. It’s like a CPAP machine but works a little differently.

Here’s how it works:

  • It pushes air into your lungs through a mask to make breathing easier.
  • It has two pressure settings:
    1. Higher pressure when you breathe in, to help you get air into your lungs.
    2. Lower pressure when you breathe out, so it’s easier to exhale.

Doctors often recommend BiPAP for conditions like sleep apnea, COPD, or other lung issues. It’s a non-invasive way to support your breathing without needing a tube down your throat.
